After cleaning teeth?

I had my teeth cleaned today. It quite bleed. Is that normal? The dentist said she would have to continue the procedure next week cos my gum is quite infected. What is infected gum? Whats the cause? Is it by the teeth cleaning?

Thank you in advance.

After cleaning teeth?
in some cases it is normal...it means that you had food and debris in your gums and the hygeinist had to remove it causing you to bleed.i bleed two,it%26#039;s normal ..happens mostly to everyone...infected gums can be because you dont get cleaning regularly or you dont floss(it annoying i know) doesnt get caused by the cleaning, the infection i mean...when you go back she will treat the infection with another cleaning..it will go away(the infection) and if you try and get cleanings every six months or kinda close to that (really up to your busy schedule)your gums should be healthy again..take care
Reply:Sounds too me like you have gingivitis...an inflammation of the gums and they can get infected also. If you floss regularly it helps keep your gums healthy. The dentist should be able to help you with this.
Reply:yay I%26#039;m not alone! same thing happened to me, it means you have something like gingivitis, possibly something else. brush your teeth more and get some scope for gingivitis, if you have braces the swelling in your gums should go down after they come off. that%26#039;s what happened for me. otherwise just get the scope and brush more :)
Reply:its caused by not cleaning your teeth daily or not brushing them correctly. you should start also flossing it helps with that a lot. so start brushing them a little better.
